Welcome to ACCELERATING WINS in DIVISIONS!

This Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) will equip you with knowledge and skills that will help you perform your role in supporting and accelerating WinS in your Division. This MOOC is a joint project of SEAMEO INNOTECH, GIZ and the Department of Education.

As one of the components of OK sa DepEd, the WASH in Schools program of the Department of Education seeks to provide all schools with conducive learning environment. Whether you are the focal person on WinS or a member of the Division technical working group, this course will equip with essential information and skills to effectively support and improve WinS.

The course run will begin on January 8, 2020, and course contents will be available until March 31, 2020. Please check back on this page by then to start participating in the course.

LEADING WINS 2020

Welcome to LEADING WINS!

Leading WinS is designed and offered as a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on “Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) in Schools” (WinS) for both school heads and teachers to build the competencies needed to set-up a suitable school environment that: supports learning by promoting dignity and gender equality in school; improve learners' participation in schools; and help learners achieve both learning and health outcomes.

In this course, you will virtually journey with fellow educators from the Department of Education, and learn how to lead and manage WinS improvements in your school. Learning entails reading and listening to stories and strategies shared by WinS practitioners which will help you reflect on your own practices.

Throughout the course, you will be asked to reflect on the importance of WinS, assess your current WinS situation, and begin planning your next steps. You will do this through reading and watching various media, and sharing your experiences, insights and questions with your co-learners.

The course run will begin on June 15, 2020, and course contents will be available until August 21, 2020. Please check back on this page by then to start participating in the course.

About This Course

Welcome to LEADING WINS! This Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) will equip you with knowledge and skills that will help you perform your role in leading or supporting WinS in your school. This MOOC is a joint project of SEAMEO INNOTECH, GIZ and the Department of Education.

SEAMEO INNOTECH is the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization, Regional Center for Educational Innovation and Technology. INNOTECH conduct research and capacity building for educators of Southeast Asia. INNOTECH has been developing and implementing online courses for 13 years.

The Deutsche Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (German Agency for International Development or GIZ) is an agency of the federal Republic of Germany that manages the provision of development assistance to countries such as the Philippines.

The Department of Education through the OK sa DepED Program where WASH in Schools (WinS) is an integral component seeks to provide all schools with a conducive learning environment.

All three institutions came together to develop this online course for you. At the school level, whether you are the school principal, focal person on WinS or a member of the technical working group, this course will equip you with essential information and skills to effectively implement WinS.
